Kablammo takes variable fonts to the next level, drawing inspiration from the maximalist curly doodads of the ’90s, the Memphis Design movement, as well as cartoons and toys from that era. The decorative elements fly around and change in unconventional ways, which makes for fun animations.

Kablammo is designed by Vectro Type Foundry. Vectro is based in Portland, Oregon and offers a range of type services, including retail fonts, custom typeface design, and font production and tools. Their work is known for exploring the intersections of technology, utility, and playfulness, resulting in innovative and inventive typefaces. Vectro is founded by Travis Kochel and Lizy Gershenzon, who have been design partners for over 15 years. They are also the co-founders of Future Fonts and the design studio Scribble Tone.
